hello and welcome.

I’m

Erica.

Erica Dossa, MSW, LCSW

(pronouns: she/her/hers)

I support clients of all ages in gaining insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as well as the ways that past experiences may be showing up in the present. By bringing inner influences to light, my clients gain a richer sense of self, a clearer vision of what they want in life, and an ability to show up with more agency and authenticity in their lives.

I have experience working as a therapist in a range of settings including public and private schools, the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood, and Duke Hospital’s Mother-Baby Unit, NICU and High Risk Obstetrics Clinic. I utilize many theories and modalities in my clinical work including psychodynamic, relational, attachment, family systems, developmental, feminist and experiential. I seek to practice from a place of humility and hold deep respect for each person I see.

I am a naturally curious person who enjoys learning and seeing new things. In session with clients, I tend to be warm, consistent, grounded, genuine, interested and engaged. Outside of session, I enjoy travel, going for walks, collecting rocks and other small treasures and connecting with friends and family.
